Lighthouse Family have announced a new Tour for March 2011, their first major tour in seven years, where they’ll be playing all their hits. They have also signed a brand new deal with Sony to record a new album following the March dates.
Vocalist Tunde Baiyewu and keyboard player Paul Tucker formed Lighthouse Family in 1993 in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK after meeting while studying at university. Their 1995 debut album Ocean Drive sold more than 1.8 million copies (six times platinum) in the UK alone. In a stellar run, following Ocean Drive with Postcards From Heaven and Whatever Gets You Through The Day, they sold over 10 million records worldwide. Lighthouse Family had numerous top 10 singles including Lifted, Ocean Drive, High and Raincloud.
Their last tour was one of the highest selling of that year surpassed only by the Spice Girls. Having recently pursued individual projects Paul and Tunde are back together and are excited to be coming to the following venues in March 2011:
March 2011
Tuesday 1 Newcastle City Hall
Wednesday 2 Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
Thursday 3 Birmingham Symphony Hall
Saturday 5 Manchester O2 Apollo
Sunday 6 Oxford New Theatre
Monday 7 Sheffield City Hall
Wednesday 9 London HMV Hammersmith Apollo

Friday 11 Nottingham Royal Concert Hall
Saturday 12 Bristol Colston Hall
