Foo Fighter’s front man Dave Grohl is to make a surprise appearance with Lady Gaga and Jack Black – in the new Muppets movie.
The film, written by Jason Segel (who also stars in the film), will also see a role for British funny-man Ricky Gervais, and his US ‘Office’ counterparts Ed Helm and John Krasinki, as well as Glee’s most notorious character Jane Lynch.
The singer and drummer’s cameo role will to be replace Animal, the Muppet’s usual drummer, as part of the movie’s plot. Grohl also appeared alongside Jack Black in the film ‘Pick of Destiny’, and will also have a part in Lemmy, a biopic of the Motorhead vocalist. He is also currently producing the next Foo Fighters album, as well as recording drums for Michael Jackson’s new album ‘Michael’.
Meanwhile, Miss Piggy is apparently going to be reproduced as a Lady Gaga-esque character, and the eccentric pop-star is said to be making a cameo appearance in the brand-new film. Gaga was famously once pictured wearing a dress made entirely of Kermit heads – though dressing oddly is not uncommon for her.
The feature length currently has the working title ‘The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made’, and with such an all-star cast lined up, it may turn out to be a statement hard to argue with.
