Nine Inch Nails Will Return Proclaims Trent Reznor

Nine Inch Nails vocalist Trent Reznor has a loud, clear message for NIN fans worldwide: “Nine Inch Nails is not dead.”
Reznor had worried the NIN fan-base after leaving his post as singer to work on the original score for ‘The Social Network’, which saw him win an Academy Award. He is also said to be working on the score of the film adaptation ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, due out in December this year.
But instead of celebrating the win, or continuing to write film scores, he has decided to immediately return to work writing and singing for the industrial rock outfit.
"By having a few different outlets for my work I'm finding more inspiration within each one,” Reznor said.
"No, Nine Inch Nails is not dead and I plan to focus on that next."
He won’t leave writing music for films forever though, revealing that he splits his work into three different sections – Nine Inch Nails, working on films, and ‘How to Destroy Angels’ – a side project band with his wife Mariqueen Maandig.
NIN fans will be ever so grateful for this news, after Trent’s film work (and its following success) made it unclear whether Nine Inch Nails were still in existence. But it is now clear that the band’s 23-year career isn’t at end yet.
It is unsure of whether any new material will be released any time soon - keep posted on Stereoboard for further Nine Inch Nails news.
