Brandon Flowers Confirmed for Eden Sessions 2011

Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is the latest headliner to be confirmed for this year’s Eden Sessions festival in Cornwall. Flowers will perform at the event on 12th July and will be joined on the bill by special guests Mystery Jets. This latest announcement follows news of previously-confirmed headliners The Flaming Lips, Primal Scream and Fleet Foxes.

Last year, following his success with Las Vegas group The Killers, Flowers took a break from the band to embark on a solo project. In September, he released his debut album ‘Flamingo’, which reached Number One in the UK Albums Chart. The album’s lead single ‘Crossfire’ also became a Top 10 hit. Including the albums he recorded with The Killers, Flowers has now notched up a total of four Number One albums in the UK.

Tjarko Wieringa, Eden Sessions Creative Director, said: “Brandon is one of the most recognisable and exciting artists around the moment and we’re really excited that he’ll be coming to Eden this summer. Flamingo was one of the best al-bums of last year and Brandon has proved both with The Killers and during his solo shows that he is one of the best live performers there is.”
