The Rolling Stones Hint at 50th Anniversary London Gig

The Rolling Stones are weighing up the idea of playing a 50-year anniversary gig in London next year, to mark fifty years since their first concert.
Guitarist Keith Richards has been hinting at the idea, telling the Sun that “the idea is there. We kind of know we should do it, but nobody's put their finger on the moment yet,”
The Stones first ever show was played on July 12th 1962, and an anniversary gig seems the right thing to do, but frontman Mick Jagger will be busy with other commitments and may not find the time after revealing his new super group ‘Super Heavy’.
Richards himself may also be busy with his side-project X-Pensive Winos, who he revealed earlier this month to be working on a new album with.
The band have also recently declared that they have no ‘firm’ plans to tour at least this year, so it will be interesting to see how these plans interfere with the possibility of the anniversary show.
Stones fans will have to simply wait and see whether they’ll have a chance to catch their favourites on the road in the following two years. Keep updated on Stereoboard for any Rolling Stones news in the future.
