American pop punk icons Blink 182 have suffered a setback in their return to the rock scene after their brand new album, ‘Neighborhoods’, leaked online.
‘Neighborhoods’ is the band’s sixth studio album and their first since 2003’s eponymous record release, and is one of the most highly-anticipated albums of the year. It was due to hit shelves on September 27th later this month but by at least last night, the album had found its way onto the net. Thousands of fans are expected to have downloaded the album for free already.
They are not the first big time musicians to suffer album leaks this year, after Beyoncé’s ‘4’ was found circulating online three weeks before its release. Lady Gaga also suffered a breach before her new album ‘Born This Way’ five days prior to the release date. In fact, Kasabian, DJ Shadow, Kelly Clarkson, Alice Cooper, Opeth and Dream Theater have all become victims of album leaks this year.
