Big Time Rush - Elevate (Album Review)

Releasing a second album, TV stars Big Time Rush have most definitely ELEVATED! Moving up from their first self-titled album, no one expected to see the boys release this new, musically mature sound. Taking a more upbeat pop squeeze at things, BTR have moved along from the bubblegum pop TV tunes, growing up and speaking about more important things, teenage love, crushes and their love of music. Exploring a variety of sounds, cooling down mid-album with the song 'Cover Girl', singing about confidence and insecurity.

ImageHighlighting the album with collaboration with Worldwide known R&B singer Iyaz with an upbeat summer anthem 'If I ruled the word', giving a warm feeling to the album, singing about big dreams and ambitions.

'Elevate' is certaintly a vast step up for the teeny-bopper lads. Something about this band, this album and everything BTR speaks differently than the likes of One Direction, JLS and every other boy band out there. This album is definitely a mould of their stronger voices, great songs and catchy beats. Blending together the songs that have been features on the TV show, 'Superstar' and 'If I ruled the world', the album also includes tons of new surprises for the fans, and I'm hugely sure they won't be let down.

Playing a minor part in the album, Alex Gaskarth handed over his lyric writing talents to the boys on this album with the stunning track 'No Idea', causing quite a huge controversy on the social network 'Twitter' but the guys pulled it off and didn't let down All Time Low die-hard fans. The boys penned 8 out of the 12 songs and in my eyes, they haven't failed.

Continuing to tour worldwide with teen sweethearts One Direction, I'm sure the Big Time Rush lads won't struggle to impress with their new melodies. I adore this new album and hope to see them in the UK soon.

For fans of All Time Low, One Direction and The Summer Set.
