Ahead of their debut single release on Sunday 27th May, Lawson have been announced to play a free gig to mark the re-opening of London’s Leicester Square tomorrow, Thursday 24th May. The show is part of the relaunch celebrations of one of London’s most iconic squares. The band will be playing from 6.00pm and the event is free for all to attend!
Lawson are currently in the middle of their second sold-out headline tour which includes their biggest headline show to date at London Kings College on 30th May. Following this they will go on to support Westlife at Croke Park before embarking on a summer of festivals including T in the Park and Hard Rock Calling.
Lawson’s debut single, ‘When She Was Mine’, is out on 27th May and was written by Lawson frontman Andy Brown and produced by Grammy Award winner John Shanks. Joining Andy in Lawson are Joel Peat (lead guitar), Adam Pitts (drums), and Ryan Fletcher (bass). Respectively from Liverpool, Mansfield, Brighton and Chesterfield, Lawson formed in 2009 and spent over two years gigging and writing songs before signing to Polydor/Global Talent in autumn last year. Their debut album, also produced by John Shanks, will be released later this year.
