Mika is to return to the stage spotlight next month, having announced a one-off show at London's Heaven for Thursday 26th July. Mika Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday.
You may remember Mika from his 2007 multi-platinum album 'Life in Cartoon World' and the hugely successful global hits 'Grace Kelly' and 'Big Girl (You are Beautiful)'.
Following on from his second album, 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much,' Mika is set to release his third studio album ‘The Origin of Love’ on 16th September. The album's lead single will be titled 'Celebrate', will feature Pharrell Williams on vocals and is produced by Empire of The Sun’s Nick Littlemore. Mika has worked with a variety of collaborators on ‘The Origin of Love’, including William Orbit and Benny Benassi, amongst others.
Mika recently commented: “Here's the first song I wanted you to hear from my new record, 'The Origin of Love.' This is not a single but a song I really love and wanted to share with you. I commissioned a short film which I felt perfectly captured the sentiment of the track. The film was directed by Iouri Philippe Paillé and was made in Montreal. This is where the entire album started taking shape a year ago with Nick Littlemore at Planet Studios in Papineau.”
