Folk outfit Bon Iver have confirmed dates for a string of November UK shows as part of a new European tour. Bon Iver Tickets are ON SALE 9AM TODAY, Friday 22nd June.
Following the release of last summer’s eponymous second album, Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon revealed earlier this year that work on a follow-up had not yet begun and it could take a while before they head back into a studio.
“I don't have any songs written yet,” he said in an interview with USA Today. “I'm guessing three years. But it could be five. It could be only one more. It just depends when the songs come about. I sort of have to wait till they reveal themselves.”
One reason behind the decision could be the fact that Vernon is working on some other projects, including other musical groups such as Volcano Choir and his on-going collaboration with Alicia Keys. “I have a big idea to do an American songbook of the greatest women singers. There are so many: Casey (Dienel) from White Hinterland, Bonnie Raitt, Alicia.”
