Stereophonics will return to the road this December with a five date intimate UK tour, including a show at Newport Centre in Wales, to preview material from their forthcoming new concept album.
The iconic Welsh band unveiled their brand new track/video ‘Violins and Tambourines’ earlier this month. The concept album is expected to be released in early 2013.
The multi-platinum selling band recently parted ways with drummer Javier Weyler and recruited former Noisettes drummer Jamie Morrison, a move reflected in their new sound. Stereophonics' frontman Kelly Jones describes the new video as an ‘appetiser of film and new music’ from their soon to be confirmed eighth studio album.
“I’ve loved film and music ever since I was a kid,” Jones wrote of the video. “When I first started writing songs I realised they could paint pictures in your mind, which inevitably leads to telling stories. I’ve always wanted to combine them both. Directing for the first time with a fantastic crew and cast was a great experience. Here’s an appetiser of film and new music from our 8th album - listen with headphones!”
Dec 15th - Newport Centre
