Ealing-based Seb Stone has his finger in every pie. He engineers and produces all of his music, plays the drums, guitar, bass and piano, as well as penning his own songs and singing. His EP, 'Ordinary You' is out now, 'Stand' is the first single.
'Stand' is a fantastically anthemic debut; Seb describes it as a song about "self belief, with strength of spirit at its core", and I must admit, this central philosophy shines through in Seb’s wise, level vocals. The songs lyrics sound like a mantra, with lines such as "we will not break…the world might move but we will not shake…”
It’s a song that you can imagine listening to on headphones as you walk to work in the rain, a song to steel you up for the day ahead and provide you with a little optimism, a little bit of strength.
The EP and single are out now, and Seb is planning to tour the UK in the New Year with a seven piece band. His debut album will be released next summer.
