Leeds indie-rockers, The Pigeon Detectives have announced their return with a brand new track, details of a new studio album and UK tour dates.
New single 'Animal', taken from their fourth studio album due later in the year, is available as a free download over at the The Pigeon Detectives' official website www.thepigeondetectives.com. Check out the video for the track below.
Vocalist Matt Bowman says: "Animal is one of those songs that we knew would work well in front of a live audience as soon as we started writing it. It's an exciting tune with a raw sinister edge to it, but it still retains all the catchiness usually associated with The Pigeon Detectives. We all agreed it was the song to set our stall out with and the in your face guitars is a statement of intent."
The band's forthcoming new album will be the follow-up to their third album, 'Up, Guards And At 'Em!', which was recorded in Brooklyn New York with producer Justin Gerrish in the summer of 2010. The album was released on 4th April 2011 and peaked at Number 30 in the UK charts, making it the band's third consecutive Top 40 album.
To support their new record, The Pigeon Detectives have announced a mammoth UK tour for April and May.
