English indie-rockers Alt-J have virtually self-confirmed themselves for this year’s Glastonbury Festival, following an interview at the BRIT Awards last night.
The band appeared at the ceremony in the O2 Arena last night, and were nominated for the prestigious Mastercard British Album of the Year award as well as Best British Group. Despite not winning either, they were still in high spirits and even spilled the beans on their summer festival plans when interviewed by host James Corden.
Responding to a question about what they had in store, Alt-J revealed: “Yeah, we're playing Leeds, Reading, Glastonbury, we're playing around Europe as well.”
The Glastonbury organisers have yet to reveal who’ll be performing at it’s return this June, although Malian singer Rokia Traore has been confirmed, meaning we know at least two of the acts that’ll feature this summer. As usual, there are plenty of rumours flying around too - the latest being that the Arctic Monkeys will headline the Pyramid stage on the Friday night.
