American rock titans Foo Fighters are rehearsing tracks for their new album, according to guitarist Chris Shiflett.
Speaking to Rolling Stone just hours before a small gig with his side project Chris Shiflett and the Dead Peasants the axeman revealed that work on their latest record had begun in the last few weeks.
He told the site:
“We actually just started making a new Foo Fighters record within the last few weeks. We've started rehearsing.”
It’s amazing news for Foo fans, as frontman Dave Grohl recently announced that they’d be taking hiatus for a while, which many believed would at least mean a lengthy break from music and performing. Commenting on Grohl’s statement, Shiflett said:
“I knew we weren't done, but I just thought it'd be a little longer. But whatever – it's good. It's good getting back to work. It was a very short hiatus. We're going to start recording the new Foo Fighters record at the beginning of next year.”
