William Patrick Corgan has announced plans to release a short film.
Pillbox will be set to music from the Smashing Pumpkins frontman's new Rick Rubin-produced solo album, 'Ogilala', which is due out on October 13 through BMG.
The film was written by Corgan and directed his longtime collaborator Linda Strawberry. It will receive four screenings in October in London, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, with Corgan set to appear at some. Tickets go on sale at 11am on September 22. Head here for details and below to check out the trailer.
Speaking about it, he said:
"I thought it was a different approach to listening to an album, to watch it in essence with a related, albeit non-linear, silent movie. Art is art. And together the two pieces create a work unto itself."
