The Smashing Pumpkins are reuniting for a North American tour this summer.
After teasing fans via a countdown clock on their official website, the alt-rock icons will celebrate songs from their first five albums, 'Gish', 'Siamese Dream', 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness', 'Adore' and 'Machina/The Machines of God', on the Shiny And Oh So Bright tour commencing in July. Tickets go on sale beginning 10am on February 23.
Three-fourths of the original line up will perform, vocalist Billy Corgan, drummer Jimmy Chamberlin and guitarist James Iha, alongside Jeff Schroeder, with original Pumpkins bassist D'arcy Wretzky left out after claiming that Corgan invited her to perform but then withdrew the offer.
