Kevin Devine has shared a cover of Tom Petty’s Into The Great Wide Open.
The track will form half of the latest edition of 'Devinyl Split Series Vol. 2', which is due on September 28, with Petal’s Kiley Lotz taking on Petty and the Heartbreakers’ ‘80s single You Got Lucky on the other side.
Devine’s version of Into The Great Wide Open, the title track from Petty's 1991 LP, strips things back while keeping its fabulous harmonies intact. You can stream it below following its premiere over at the Talkhouse, where it appeared alongside an in-depth conversation between Devine and Lotz.
