Hellions Post Video For Smile From Upcoming 'Rue' Album

Wednesday, 26 September 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Hellions have released a video accompanying their current single, Smile.

The dynamic and upbeat song was penned late in the recording process for the Australian quartet's long awaited fourth album, 'Rue', which is out on October 19 via UNFD and contains tracks written about the pessimistic and humanitarian sides of life.

Built around the refrain 'I’m ready to run, are you ready?', Smile provides a tongue-in-cheek look at the depth of interactions in the digital age and follows previous cuts from the record, X (Mwah) and Furrow. In a statement, they said:

"Our director, Aimee-Lee X. Curran, her crew and our cast really helped bring those words and the meaning behind the song to life. It was a pleasure to create and we are ecstatic with the result. The little details in our hero, Danica Burch, and our ballroom casts performances were paramount in bringing this all together. Thank you to everyone involved for such a pleasant and professional experience. We hope Hellions fans enjoy the video for Smile as much as we all enjoyed making it!"

The band will support the release of the album with three performances at intimate venues in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney during release week.
