Aside from her work with side band Phantastic Ferniture, Julia Jacklin hasn't released much new material since her debut album, 'Don't Let The Kids Win', came out in 2016.
Now, she's back with a brooding new song, Body, that places the singer's voice high up in the mix, detailing with care her breathy, soft style. The main melody is accompaned by a rolling bassline and tepid pace, fitting for the ongoing thematic elements playing out.
The accompanying video was shot in Hay Plain in Jacklin's native Australia, and sees the singer travelling through endless countryside vistas. Directed by longtime collaborator Nick Mckk, Jacklin told NPR: "We spent about 14 hours in the car, jumping out when something looked beautiful. Whenever I listened to this song, I knew the clip had to be a driving one, destination unknown."
Body comes soon after the announcement of November tour dates around the UK.
Julia Jacklin Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Tue November 27 2018 - LONDON Omeara
Wed November 28 2018 - MANCHESTER YES (The Basement)
Thu November 29 2018 - GLASGOW Glad Cafe
