Toy Unveil New 'Happy In The Hollow' Song You Make Me Forget Myself

Wednesday, 28 November 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Toy have shared You Make Me Forget Myself, a track from their new album.

'Happy In The Hollow' will be released on January 25, with a UK and Ireland tour lined up for the following month. Kicking off on February 13 in Belfast and concluding at the Village Underground in London on February 20, the run will then take them to Europe for shows running up until March 15.

The band said the new track "has a feeling of estrangement about it. The sound of someone you love who's going away and it doesn't matter. It's the first song Maxim [Barron - bassist] has sung lead on and Dominic plays slide reminiscent of Ry Cooder on the Paris, Texas soundtrack.”

It's a much more sombre affair than previously shared cut Sequence One and sees them delve even further into shoegaze with elongated reverb-soaked notes drawing focus away from the more indie-influenced guitar chords.

Toy Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Wed February 13 2019 - BELFAST Empire Music Hall
Thu February 14 2019 - DUBLIN Workmans Club
