Employed To Serve have announced their highly anticipated new album, 'Eternal Forward Motion', as well as a handful of accompanying launch shows..
Heralded by the lead single Force Fed, out on January 25, the follow up to 2017's 'Warmth of a Dying Sun' is set to arrive on May 10 via Spinefarm Records, with whom the Woking five-piece have recently signed. Head below to view the album's artwork and tracklist.
Vocalist Justine Jones revealed the inspiration behind the lyrics on the record, which centre around a generation trying to find their place in the world while battling self-doubt and external influences:
"When contemplating what the future holds for one's self, it can be quite daunting thinking about whether you will ever be truly content with your life and the person that you are. In the fast paced society we live in, it can cause many people to burn out and chase unobtainable expectations of themselves.
We are also now faced with the social media boom leading many people to be plagued by self-comparison and fear of missing out. All these distractions can cause one to dwell on what they don’t have and take for granted some the aspects of life that we should be thankful for each day."
To mark the release of album number three, the band will head to the Garage in London on May 10 and the Classic Grand Lounge in Glasgow the following day, adding to their live schedule that already includes European festival appearances at Groezrock in April and Hellfest and Jera On Air in June.
The band will also play a Manchester show with Raging Speedhorn and Loathe on March 29 at Rebellion.
