Heaven 17 will celebrate the music of the Human League at two shows in 2020.
The synth-pop band, who seceded from the original Human League line up, will perform 1979's 'Reproduction' and 1980's 'Travelogue' in full at a hometown show at Sheffield City Hall on March 19 and the Roundhouse in London the following day. Founding member of the Human League and Heaven 17, Martyn Ware said:
"Glenn and I are absolutely thrilled to be paying homage to the first two albums I ever released as part of the original Human league lineup – the fantastic 'Reproduction' and 'Travelogue'.
"We intend to create an exciting show reimagining the multimedia immersion of the 78-79 concerts, but this time playing the whole of both albums in their entirety, plus some special surprises. Heaven 17 (Glenn, myself, Berenice, Kelly and Rachel) will perform these iconic albums – and will remain faithful to the spirit of the originals…
These will be unique and possibly never to be repeated gigs, please come along and celebrate with us…"
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on July 5.
Heaven 17 Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Thu March 19 2020 - SHEFFIELD City Hall
Fri March 20 2020 - LONDON Roundhouse
