Neil Young is postponing all but two of his remaining 2019 shows to focus on his archival film projects.
In a post entitled "Archives Films Projects Takes Precedent", a list of 15 archival films, some alongside Crazy Horse and some solo projects, are being readied for release, with the legendary singer-songwriter revealing via the Neil Young Archives website:
"We will be in the editing suites for the duration of 2019. Thanks for coming to our shows! We plan to be back in 2020!"
Earlier this year, Young announced a new album with Crazy Horse called 'Colorado', with the sessions set to be documented in one of the 15 films, simply titled Colorado.
Despite scrapping touring plans, Young will still play his Harvest Moon – A Gathering benefit show in Lake Hughes, California on September 14, as well as Farm Aid in East Troy, Wisconsin a week later.
Young released his latest archival live album, 'Tuscaloosa', in May.
