Noah Cyrus has shared a new single.
The acoustic track explores the 20-year-old vocalist's spirtual side via observational lyrics which detail her belief system. The song is accompanied by a lo-fi video, which shows Cyrus revelling in nature as she explores a boundless forest and connects with its habitants.
Reflecting on the single, she said: "This song is not about or for one religion or belief system. Jesus basically represents a greater understanding and knowledge that everything has its purpose and everything will work itself out the way it’s supposed to. It will be okay, so long as we are guided by compassion and community. Both are needed more than ever right now.”
I Got So High That I Saw Jesus follows Cyrus's hip hop and pop crossover, fuckyounoah, which arrived last October.
