Groove Armada Reveal New Single Get Out On The Dancefloor

Groove Armada have shared a new single.
The vibrant Get Out On The Dancefloor is the first track to be lifted from the electronic duo’s first new album in a decade, which is expected to arrive later this year, though a release date and title are yet to be finalised.
The club-ready single features guest vocals from Empire of the Sun and Pnau frontman Nick Littlemore, and plays with a rhythmic grid of electro-pop beats and waves of down-tempo synths. It arrives with an accompanying video that offers a whole host of cameos, including vocalist Sophie Ellis-Bextor, actress Rose McGowan and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK finalist Divina De Campo, as well as a slew of TikTok stars. Each respective performer filmed their clip in isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Andy Cato of Groove Armada said: “As I went through the recordings of Nick, I realised there were lots of cool phrases and great deliveries we could use. It took a very long time to find the right order for them, but once we had that line ‘Get out on the dancefloor', it felt vibey. Slotting the music underneath was the easy bit!”
The pair's last full-length release was 2019's 'GA21', a compilation record which chronicled their two decade-long career via 50 tracks over four themed CDs: Balearic, Live, DJ Club Mix and Radio.
