Doves are back with their first new music in 11 years.

Carousels samples the late Tony Allen, drummer and Afrobeat pioneer, while the rest of the eclectic track finds the trio swapping guitars for synths and diverse percussion. Head below for the song's video, animated by Yoni Weisberg.

Drummer and vocalist Andy Williams said:

“It’s a reminiscence of the times that we’d go to places like North Wales on holiday as kids. Places where you had your first experience of sound systems and music being played really loud.”

In light of the new material, it's hoped that news of the follow-up to 2009's 'Kingdom Of Rust' will soon be announced.
