Following Bucciarati, Death Parade marks the final early teaser from the Los Angeles-based artist's imminent LP, 'Anime, Trauma And Divorce', due out through his own AutoReverse Records label this Friday (October 16).
Anchored by a minimal beat, it's a chilled track that contrasts to the 39-year-old's gritty storytelling lyrics about reverberating trauma in peoples lives. He said:
"This song is about the cycle of trauma. The personal trauma thats been a throughline in my life and how traumatized people tend to inflict more trauma on themselves and others."
Head below to check out its accompanying animated video directed by Ben Clarkson. Other previously released cuts from the record include The Edge Of New Clothes and I'm A JoeStar (Black Power Fantasy).
To celebrate the album, Open Mike Eagle will run through the project in full during a ticketed livestream performance on release day at 9pm ET (October 17 at 2am BST) from Dynasty Typewriter at the Hayworth Theatre in L.A. Head here for details.
