Tori Amos has unveiled a new track.
Better Angels is the first cut to be shared from her new EP, 'Christmastide', which is due out on December 4 and will feature three more original festive songs. In a statement shared on her Facebook page, she said:
“With 'Better Angels' I wanted to acknowledge the year we have all been through and know that there is hope. We can find that hope within ourselves if we continue to focus our collective minds and souls. We are slowly starting to find a clearer path to transform together for the better of all.”
The track finds her gloriously off-kilter piano melodies accompanied by electric guitar and crashing percussion, making for an unconventional Christmas tune that is Amos all over. We'd expect nothing less.
The renowned artist's last album was 2017's 'Native Invader', while this May she put out the memoir Resistance: A Songwriter's Story Of Hope, Change And Courage.
