Damon Albarn has released a new track.
The Tower Of Montevideo is the latest cut to be lifted from his new solo album, 'The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows', due to arrive on November 12.
The multifaceted, genre-defying song that finds Albarn leading with the piano is inspired by the iconic 1920s Palacio Salvo building in Uruguay, and the Gorillaz and Blur frontman's fascination with South America, which he describes as both “familiar and utterly otherworldly.”
As with previous cuts, it arrives with a live performance video directed by Transgressive Records founder Toby L that forms part of the Sublime Boulevards - Performance Films series. Press play below.
Albarn has rescheduled gigs in London and Dublin, aswell as European shows, in the diary for early 2022. Head below for further details.
