Dolly Parton Announces New Album 'Run, Rose, Run', Shares First Single Big Dreams And Faded Jeans

Friday, 14 January 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Dolly Parton has shared details of her new album, along with a new song.

Opening with acoustic guitar, Big Dreams And Faded Jeans predictably unfurls into a country bop complete with fiddle and harmonica. It serves as the first single from the 75-year-old music icon's upcoming LP, 'Run, 'Rose, Run', due out via Butterfly Records in partnership with Ingrooves/UMG.

Co-produced by Richard Dennison and Tom Rutledge, the record will arrive on March 4, a couple of days before the publication of a companion novel of the same name, co-authored by James Patterson and Parton, out on March 7.

The LP will mirror the narrative of the book, about a young singer with a dark secret that inspires her music. Parton said:

"So many people come to Nashville with their sack of songs. Whether they’re running from anything or not, they’re running towards a future. That’s what Big Dreams And Faded Jeans is all about. I am so pleased to finally share the first song from this exciting new album with all of you!"

1. Run
2. Big Dreams and Faded Jeans
3. Demons (with Ben Haggard)
4. Driven
5. Snakes In The Grass
