The Afghan Whigs have released their first new song in five years.
I’ll Make You See God is an urgent rock track that deals in driving drums, rumbling and dynamic basslines, face-melting guitar riffs, and gravelly vocals from Greg Dulli. It will feature on the PlayStation game Gran Turismo 7, out on March 4. Dulli said:
“That’s one of the hardest rock songs we’ve ever done. It was written and performed on sheer adrenalin.”
The band — frontman/guitarist Dulli, bassist John Curley, multi-instrumentalist Rick Nelson, drummer Patrick Keeler and new guitarist Christopher Thorn — have also announced a short run of US shows for May. Head here for details.
Their last album was 2017's 'In Spades'.
