Chase And Status have shared a new single.
Cast across deep bass accompanied by skittering drum and bass percussion, When It Rains features Backroad Gee and arrives with a cinematic video, directed by Hector Dockrill and starring British actor Jack McMullen. Dockrill said:
"In our harsh reality where it often feels as though the world is against you, we wanted to make a film about just a really shit morning. And as a gluttonous human, how far will you go to get what you want (a morning ciggie), and how one bad decision, leads to another, and that tunnel vision can spiral into chaos.
"Jack McCullen pulls off the role of a scumbag that only cares about himself, and I think we quickly learn, so does everyone else. No happy ending, no resolution, just a quick moment of madness full of adrenaline and somewhat humor. But yes, this is just a really shit morning."
Chase and Status released their last album, 'RTRN II JUNGLE' in 2019. They've got a busy summer of festival appearances, DJ sets and headline shows coming up, including a huge concert at Cardiff's Alexandra Head in July.
