Taylor Swift has released This Love (Taylor’s Version).
Following on from Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version), it's the second re-recorded version of a track from her album '1989'. It's unknown whether more songs from the 2014 record will be reworked, or if a whole re-recorded LP is on the way.
Revamped with notably stronger vocals, with a more indie-rock sound, the song was first previewed in the trailer for the new Amazon Prime Video series The Summer I Turned Pretty. Introducing it online, she said:
"This Love (My version!) is out and I’m currently reliving the 1989 tour in my head and spiraling, it’s fine."
Swift is partway through re-recording the albums from her discography that were sold by her previous label to Scooter Braun, a move she openly condemned.
In 2021, she put out a new version of 'Fearless', and 'Red (Taylor's Version)'. The latter comprises 30 songs, including a 10-minute rendition of All Too Well and its accompanying short film.
