Lightning Seeds have announced a new album and UK tour.
The Ian Broudie-led band will put out 'See You In The Stars' on October 14, marking their first new studio album since 2009's 'Four Winds'. It features tracks co-written by Terry Hall of The Specials (Emily Smiles) and The Coral’s James Skelly (Great To Be Alive, and Live To Love You).
They'll follow up the record's release with a UK tour that begins on October 27 in Cambridge, and also includes stops in Oxford, Frome, Southampton, London, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton, Cardiff, Manchester and Sheffield, where they'll finish up the run at the Leadmill on November 26.
They'll be joined by special guest Badly Drawn Boy at all shows except Brighton. Tickets go on sale at 10am on June 22. Meanwhile, head below to check out the album's artwork, tracklist and first single, Sunshine, an uplifting indie-pop summer anthem. Broudie said:
“The song is about the sun being the source of life. I’ve had many dreams worrying about the future of an uncertain world. But then the sun shines and everything feels more positive and hopeful.”
