Bright Eyes Announce Companion EPs For Next Round Of Album Reissues

Bright Eyes have announced another round of album reissues and companion EPs.
New editions of 2002's 'Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground', 2005's 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning' and 'Digital Ash In A Digital Urn' are scheduled to arrive on November 11 via Dead Oceans.
The second wave of accompanying companion EPs, which feature new recordings of songs from the original albums along with covers from artists they drew inspiration from at the time of the original recording, feature guest appearances from frequent collaborators Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings, Lavender Diamond's Becky Sark, and Azure Ray's Maria Taylor. There's also covers of Azure Ray's November, Townes Van Zandt’s Fare Thee Well, Miss Carousel, and The Faint’s Agenda Suicide.

They'll play rescheduled UK and European dates for later in August and September. Following that, they have a run of North American tour dates lined up for the fall, which include stops in Monterrey, Santa Ana, Toronto, Montreal, Providence, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Mexico City.
