Iceage have announced a new compilation album.

'Shake The Feeling: Outtakes & Rarities 2015-2021' comprises tracks that were recorded during sessions for the Danish punk-rock group's last three LPs; 2014's 'Plowing Into The Field Of Love', 2018's 'Beyondless', and 2021's 'Seek Shelter'.

Due out on September 23 via Mexican Summer, it'll contain 12 non-album cuts (songs frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt describes as "misfit children"), including covers of Bob Dylan's I’ll Keep It With Mine and Abner Jay’s My Mule.

It's previewed by its punky title track that was considered too "happy-go-lucky" due to its bright indie-rock chords and melodies, which were penned and recorded during the 'Beyondless' era. Commenting on the cheery song, Rønnenfelt said:

"We thought this one to be a little too 'nice' and well behaved at the time. I didn’t want to learn the song, so I ended up improvising on the final take we did before abandoning it. In hindsight, I find the song to be completely sprawling with an impulsiveness difficult to capture on purpose. It has some of the guitar work I’m personally most proud of."

Its accompanying video, directed by Alex Cantouris, captures candid moments of the band as well as footage of their intimate performance at 2021's Pitchfork London at the Moth Club.

Iceage have co-headline North American tour dates in the diary for September and October. Head here for dates and ticket details.
