Wednesday have shared a new single, Bull Believer.
Spanning nearly nine minutes, the track offers lo-fi, reverb-soaked guitars, along with bandleader Karly Hartzman's alternately hypnotic and enraged vocals. She said:
"This song is an excuse for me to scream on stage, an outlet for the anger and sadness that has been collected by the current and past versions of myself.
"An offering to myself of a brief moment of release from being tolerant of the cruelty of life: feels like cutting my hair to let go of the history it holds."
The song marks their first release for Dead Oceans, and the first new material since their 2021 LP, 'Twin Plagues'. It arrives ahead of the North Carolina band's fall North American tour with Truth Club, which kicks off on September 21 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Head here for details.
