Dolly Parton And Kelly Clarkson Duet For New Version Of 9 To 5

Dolly Parton has remade her song 9 to 5 as a duet with Kelly Clarkson.
Recorded as a softer ballad, the revamp arrives over 40 years after the original track's release and will feature in an upcoming documentary, Still Working 9 to 5.
Premiering on September 16, it'll celebrate the cultural impact of the iconic 1980 film 9 to 5, which starred Parton alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
"Nobody sings like Kelly Clarkson. She makes any song come alive," Parton said in a statement. "I love her voice on 9 to 5, and I am so proud I got to sing with her on it. I'm equally as proud of the wonderful arrangement and production by Shane McAnally."
Clarkson added: "I am so honored that Dolly asked me to reimagine this iconic song, 9 to 5, with her! She is so talented, an inspiration to all women, and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! I hope y'all like what we did, but even if you don't, remember I got to sing a duet with the magical Dolly Parton, and now have bragging rights til the end of time!"
Parton recently unveiled details of a new career-spanning collection called 'Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection', which will arrive on November 18.
She'll be honoured as an inductee for the 2022 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at the 37th annual ceremony in Los Angeles on November 5.
