Biffy Clyro And Mike Vennart Side Project Empire State Bastard Share Debut Single Harvest

Empire State Bastard have dropped their debut single.
Helmed by Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil and Mike Vennart (solo artist, former Oceansize frontman and longtime touring guitarist for Biffy), the self-described "grindcore extreme metal band" have shared the heavy and chaotic Harvest, featuring Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and bassist Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon.
Introducing the track, they said: "Empires fall, States rise, Bastards sing… it’s Harvest time motherfuckers!" Head below to check out the single's artwork by Radio 1 Rock Show host Daniel P Carter.
Having previously shared a teaser in February, the band have since signed to Roadrunner Records, though they're yet to announce an EP or album.
Empire State Bastard will play three headline UK shows this spring, before appearances at Download Festival on June 9, Hellfest on June 18, 2000trees on July 7, and ArcTanGent on August 17.
