The Sherlocks Share Title Track Of Upcoming Album 'People Like Me & You'

Friday, 26 May 2023 Written by Jon Stickler

The Sherlocks have shared the title track of their fourth studio album.

Following recent singles Sirens and Don't Let It Out, it serves as the third preview of 'People Like Me & You', which is due out on August 11.

A continuation of their anthemic indie-rock sound, the new cut was written by lead vocalist-guitarist Kiaran Crook with production by Al Groves that incorporates piercing synths and dance beats. Crook commented:

"People Like Me & You is a song that I think the fans will get behind. It’s indie-rock but at the same time there is a real dance element to it which is pretty cool. The only time we’ve ever done anything with this sort of vibe is probably on the last record with Sorry, and this one feels the next step of what we started with that. It’s a proper foot stomper, and it’s going to be a real fan favourite!"

The Sheffield quartet will hit the road for their biggest headline UK tour to date in the autumn. They'll also support Richard Ashcroft at The Verve frontman's show at Englefield House in Berkshire, following a set at Standon Calling in July.
