Jockstrap And Taylor Skye Announce 'I Love You Jennifer B' Remix Album

Jockstrap have announced a remixed version of their 2022 debut album.
The Mercury Prize-nominated 'I Love You Jennifer B' will be updated and released as 'I<3UQTINVU', an acronym for 'I Love You Cutie, I Envy You', through Rough Trade Records on November 3.
Masterminded by Taylor Skye, one half of the London-based duo, it's previewed by the dense and chaotic lead single, Red Eye, which arrives with a video featuring Atlanta trap artist Ian Starr performing alongside lead vocalist Georgia Ellery at this year's Connect Festival. Skye said:
"I love making songs that push the limits of my vocality and energy, and I went all-out in efforts to craft the craziest performance possible on Red Eye. Whenever I write a song, I always have the live audience in mind; performing this at my first festival with Jockstrap made me feel really great about the result! The crowd’s energy felt amazing and I’m so excited to perform it for everyone who comes to the U.S. tour!"
Continuing to discuss the record, he added:
“Some of these remixes are almost three years old and some are only six months old. I made most of them really quickly, in a day or so. It keeps me sane to do this whilst mixing the album.
"I don’t really remember making them. It’s like eating too much and then throwing up and this is what comes out. It’s a weird feeling but also really fun. I felt very happy making some of this music and live it will be quite the show."
In August, Jockstrap featured on the shortlist for the Mercury Prize, but it was Ezra Collective who won the award for their sophomore album, 'Where I’m Meant To Be'.
Jockstrap will headline London's Barbican Centre on December 13 and 14, following November shows in Glasgow and Manchester, alongside a run of gigs across mainland Europe. They also have US concerts scheduled for September and October.
