Cher has announced her first Christmas album.
Aptly titled 'Christmas', the record will arrive on October 20 through Warner Records, marking her first album for five years. It will feature 13 songs, including collaborations with Darlene Love, Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé, Cyndi Lauper and Tyga. Cher said:
“I never say this about my own records but I’m really proud of this one. It is one of the most amazing highlights of my career.”
As a preview, she's shared the lead single, DJ Play A Christmas Song, one of four tracks on the LP written by Sara Hudson. The track features vocoder-tinged, uplifting vocals atop a rousing club-ready, dance-pop soundscape. Press play below.
Next month, Cher will mark the 25th anniversary of her Grammy-winning album ‘Believe’ by releasing a 25th anniversary deluxe edition through Warner Records.
