Vampire Weekend Confirm April Release For New Album 'Only God Was Above Us'

Vampire Weekend will return with a new album this spring.
The long-awaited follow-up to 2019's 'Father Of The Bride' is called 'Only God Was Above Us' and is due out on April 5. Its arrival will be preceded by the release of two new tracks, Capricorn and Gen-X Cops, on February 16.
The record came together at sessions all over the world, including Manhattan, Los Angeles, London and Tokyo. It was co-produced by the band's Ezra Koenig and their longtime collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid, with mixing handled by Dave Fridmann and mastering by Emily Lazar.
The band will support the record with a one-off "special eclipse show" at the Moody Amphitheater in Austin, Texas on April 8. Head here for details.
