Head Automatica have released a new song, Bear The Cross.

Returning late last year after a 15-year hiatus, the power-pop band formed by Glassjaw vocalist Daryl Palumbo have dropped the electronic, industrial rock-leaning track ahead of four shows later this month. Palumbo said:

"To me, Bear The Cross is both a logical and unexpected evolution of Head Automatica's sound. The sounds and ideas are very familiar but age undeniably changes your personality, creative leanings and approach. There is an urgency and boldness in what you feel empowered to produce after a certain point. Bear The Cross, and our new material on the whole are a reflection of that while still constantly maintaining a body moving element."

Head Automatica will play the UK's Slam Dunk Festival in Hatfield and Leeds next weekend (May 25 and 26), where they'll celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 'Decadence' LP.

Following that, they've lined up their first New York City performances in 14 years at the Bowery Ballroom on May 29 and 89 North on May 31. Tickets are on sale.

Their last album was 2006's 'Propaganda'.
