The high energy dance track features Swedish pop star Robyn and will appear on 'In Waves', the British electronic artist's long-awaited second studio album, due out on September 20. He said:
"I made this track pretty fast (for me) and I loved it from day one. When I first heard Robyn’s vocal it was at 6 a.m. after finishing playing at Pacha in Ibiza, it was the perfect moment. Robyn and I have spent time working together and hanging out for some years now, it’s always a joy and always inspiring, I’m so glad and grateful that she is a part of In Waves. Thank you, Robyn, for bringing this track to life!"
Robyn added: "I just want to see how Life gets people dancing this summer. I can’t wait for that. Jamie is such a brilliant creator, I’m excited to be part of his album."
The DJ and producer previously teased the follow-up to 2015's 'In Colour' with the singles Treat Each Other Right and Baddy On The Floor with Honey Dijon. Other guests set to appear on the record include Panda Bear, Kelsey Lu, the Avalanches, and The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim.
Jamie xx will play Glastonbury Festival next week, and headline Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago in July. In September, he'll perform two dates at London's Alexandra Palace as part of his In Waves Tour. Tickets are on sale.
