The Flaming Lips To Play 'Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots' In Full At 2025 Australian Shows

The Flaming Lips will head to Australia early next year.
The American psych-rock band have expanded the 20th anniversary celebrations of their 2002 album, 'Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots', with the addition of shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane between January 30 and February 5. Tickets go on general sale at 9am local time on August 23.
The tour, which will also head across the UK and Europe in spring/summer 2025, is their first Down Under in five years, and as well as performing their seminal album in full, it will see them play fan favourites.
Prior to that, The Flaming Lips Summer Freakout will take place at Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre on August 30, then this fall they'll support Weezer on their Voyage To The Blue Planet Tour across North America.
The Flaming Lips put out a 20th anniversary deluxe reissue of 'Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots' back in 2022. They teamed up with Nell Smith for 'Where The Viaduct Looms' in 2021, and released their latest studio album, 'American Head', in 2020.
