Bryan Ferry Teams With Nine Inch Nails For First Original Song In A Decade

Bryan Ferry has shared his first new music in a decade.
The dark, pulsating electro-pop offering began as a "sketch" Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross sent to Ferry, who in turn completed it with Glasgow singer and musician Amelia Barratt, who also handles lead vocals on the song. Ferry said:
"A couple of years ago I helped [Amelia] record an audiobook here in my studio. I was very impressed by her writing, and this is the first song we did together. I’m very excited about this new work – there’s a lot more to come."
Rife with Nine Inch Nails' influence, it'll be the sole new and original song to feature on the Roxy Music singer’s upcoming five-disc collection, 'Retrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023', due out on October 25 via BMG.
Barratt also appears in the track's accompanying video, which was filmed by Ferry and James Garzke. Take a look below.
Ferry's last original composition is the 2014 LP 'Avonmore'. Since then, he's sporadically dropped music in the form of reworked songs from earlier in his career, both with Roxy Music and solo, and released cover records.
