Another act has been confirmed to perform at this weekend’s BRIT Awards.
Ezra Collective will take to the stage with Jorja Smith, completing the line-up for the 2025 ceremony at London’s O2 arena this Saturday (March 1). Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective said:
"Honestly, the opportunity to play at the BRITs is so precious. I grew up watching the BRITs; I think about performances from Gorillaz and Skepta; and those moments, when I was sat as a teenager in my room, really were massive for me as wanting to become a musician. So I’m honoured to play, because it’s an honour, but I’m honoured that we get the opportunity to give this moment to the teenage versions of Ezra Collective that will be watching. Absolutely can’t wait to make you all dance on Saturday night. God bless you all, peace."
The London jazz group join previously announced performers Sam Fender, JADE, Myles Smith, Teddy Swims, The Last Dinner Party, and Sabrina Carpenter, who was recently announced as the recipient of the Global Success award. Earlier this week, Charli XCX was named the recipient of this year’s Songwriter Of The Year award, and her long-time collaborator A. G. Cook was honoured with the Producer Of The Year award. Back in December, Smith was announced as the winner of the Rising Star award.
Jack Whitehall will return to present the awards ceremony, and the show will be broadcast live on ITV1 and streaming service ITVX. Head here for more details and a full list of nominees.
Tomorrow (February 28), Clean Bandit will perform at The London Palladium as part of BRITs Week for War Child. Other acts set to headline shows around the main awards event include Tom Walker, Soft Play, Rag’n’Bone Man and James Bay.
Ezra Collective, who are nominated in the Album Of The Year, Group Of The Year, Best New Artist, and Alternative/Rock Act categories, released a new single, Body Language featuring British-Colombian singer-songwriter Sasha Keable earlier this month. The track marks the first new music from the 2023 Mercury Prize-winners since the release of their 2024 album, ’Dance, No One’s Watching’. They’ll also perform at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse on March 27 as part of the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival. They’ll also co-headline London’s Cross The Tracks festival with Michael Kiwanuka in May. Tickets are on sale now.
Smith recently collaborated with AJ Tracey on the West London rapper’s single, Crush. She’s currently touring North America with her Falling Or Flying Tour, and has UK and Ireland dates in the diary for the summer. Head here for tickets. The trek shares its name with her 2023 album.
