Green Day Start Working On New Album

ImageGreen Day have officially began work on the follow-up to 2004's 'American Idiot'.

The band revealed the good news on their official website offering further information next week.

The message reads: ""Billie, Mike and Tre are back from summer vacations working hard on new material for the next Green Day album. Stay tuned for more news next week."

'American Idiot' proved hugely successful for the US rock band, reportingly shifting 13 Million copies worldwide and picking up a Grammy for the band.
